XML Banner Rotator

This is a highly customizable XML Banner Rotator with more than 35 XML options, including the masking size and speed.

You can control the position of the elements on the screen, the number of images, as well as the colors - all from XML.

As always, you can use this Flabell Flash Component in any size you need, as well as in other HTML or FLA files.

Is there a way to set the images to be resizable within the stage size? So the stage is set currently set to 560x374 but I want my images (horizontal or vertical) to keep the proportion but fit inside the 560x374 stage size and not be cut off.

Sorry if you already addressed this but I didn't see it.

How could I set a number of numbers displayed on the panel, according to XML? When I load a 10 images, it is unnecessary and confusing to have 32 on the bar.

I try to change the dynamic text in multiline option but in does not the good way...
I try too to do it with as3 with multline propiety but dos not work too...

Hi,

This is great and thanks to the documentation and the comments here I have been able to set this up fine. However, I do run into a strange problem where at some times of the day the SWF just does not load at all. Instead, I see a white rectangle. I have searched for a solution to this only to find that someone else has had this issue before but it was an Internet browser compatibility issue. I have tried opening this with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and IE too.

Could this be a server or configuration issue? I doubt it's a browser issue because I can load the one on Flabell fine every time I open up this page.

In regards to this issue. I have discovered the problem.

Where I have set the image URLs as http://mysite.com/path_to/file.jpg, This allows the site to be opened when I open http://mysite.com - However, if I open it as http://www.mysite.com , the SWF is unable to find the file because it is a different server name from that which I have pointed to (just because of the WWW).

Is there a workaround for this?

To resolve this (sort of), I have used the following settings:

/// path to the content folder(where the xml files, images or video are nested)
/// if you want to use absolute paths(like "http://domain.com/images/....") then leave it empty("")
flashvars.pathToFiles = "";

// path to content XML
flashvars.xmlPath = "../events.xml";

This is due to the nature of my website - But as a rule of advice, just avoid using absolute paths in the xmlPath (if you use http://mysite.com/... it will only load when you use the same URL without the WWW at the start)... Silly Flash!

Hey, I need help! Cause I am having trouble incorporating the flw file into my seperate web side. I copy the flw file and paste it into the other file, dreamweaver ask me to update links and add necesarry files to the folder, and it wont work. I dont know what to do. can someone please help me out?

I want to put the banner looks like the control of numbers that already exist in
banner, but it is a movieclip inside the fla ..... for example, every call
xml banner at a clip would be called and would be linked to the subject of banner

XML Banner Rotator - tips and tricks

Note: we added new variables, while other variables were either moved or removed. After the redesign, all help files will be updated.

This page will be updated, but in the meantime you can read below what each XML variable means: 

slideShowTime - how much should a picture stay

startWith - with what picture the slideshow shouhld start

backGroundColor - slideshow background color

backgroundTransparency - slideshow background transparency

cellWidth - width of the grid and net shape(in this example the shape is a square)

cellHeight - height of the grid and net shape(in this example the shape is a square)

showMintTime - the minimum time for a transition

showMaxTime - the maximum time for a transition

blur - amount of blur applied to the net

neTime - how much time should the net should stay

alphaNet - amount of transparency applied to the net(0 - invisible, 1 - visible)

captionTransparency - amount of transparency applied to the title+body+button background

controllerTransparency - amount of transparency applied to the controller background

overColor - controller buttons over state color

outColor - controller buttons out state color

normalColor - controller buttons out state color

grayColor - controller buttons selected state color

buttonAlpha - amount of transparency applied to controller buttons

captionButtonAlpha - amount of transparency applied to, in this case, "read more" button

padding - caption's inner padding

thumbY - y offset for controller's buttons

controllerX - X offset for controller

controllerY - Y offset for controller

captionX - X offset for caption

captionY - Y offset for caption

controllerHeight - controller's height

distanceBetweenControllerElements - distance between controller's elements

distanceBetweenThumbs - distance between controller's numbers

loaderColor - loader color

captionWidth - caption width

buttonText - caption's button text

btnNormalColor - caption's button normal state color

btnOverColor - caption's button over state color
