Slideshow with Caption

This is a simple fade in fade out slideshow with caption which can be set in any position (bottom, top, left or right), size and color.

You can control the caption color, back color, size, link, and many more in the XML file.

Can I set transparent background? I have imges with round corners. I've tried set background="transparent" or "none" in xml, but no result.

Hi,

To make the background transparent, open the slideshow.xml file and find this property:

backgroundTransparency = "100"

Set it to 0, like this:

backgroundTransparency = "0"

Then go to the code you code you copied into your webpage and add this line:

params.wmode = "transparent"

after this line:

var params = {};

After you'll refresh the page, the background should be transparent. That's assuming that your images are transparent on those round corners :).

Update 23 April 2010

- we fixed a bug in the XML reading, as the items were not read correctly, and only a part of them were visible.

Update 29 April 2010

- if you set the main link of the images to an empty string, you can set links in the caption through the XML, as you would in HTML
