Flabell Simple Flash Mp3 Player

Minimalistic Mp3 player with a twist, perfect for your website. It supports the basic functions of an mp3 player:
- play
- pause
- draggable volume bar
- sound visualizer

It includes a special sound visualizer that changes when you drag the volume bar.

Note: The song used in this file is a sample, under 30 seconds for legal reasons. You can easily update it in the HTML code (it's passed through FlashVars).

Hi,

I assumed you modified the ActionScript code for this project, since you made it work with a media server. Have you made any changes when reading the XML file?

Maybe the you need to clear the browser cache, or if you test it on a local server, restart the server.

Please open the settings.xml file from the project->deploy->player->xml folder and find this line:

                
<autoplay>false</autoplay>

                

Change this property's value to "true" and it will autoplay.

You'll have to check your payment email address. That's the email associated with your PayPal account. I just sent you an email, manually, to that address, that contains the activation link. That's just to make sure you'll get it.

Also, please check your spam/junk folders too.

Do you want the player to play only 30 seconds from the song? You'll just need to cut your mp3 and use that piece.

If this isn't what you need, please be more specific.

Hi,

To embed this component in your webpage, this tutorial would be helpful:

If you want to customize the player, just check out the project->deploy->player->xml folder and open the settings.xml file. It's an XML file that contains all the customizable properties we built for this player. Just change those properties and refresh the webpage that contains the component to see the result.

Hello!

It's possible to not have or song name or song artist and the song name/artist auto align in center of swf object?
I've resized to 30px height and i whant something like this: "ArtistName - SongName" in the same line!

Hello Reco,

If you get the mp3 files from another server you might need to set up a crossdomain.xml to allow the player to access the visualization information. You can take a look at these examples:

Yes, this file is essential for the player to work. The preview.swf is the player itself. All the other files are auxiliary or contain settings for it.

1. I downloaded the Simple Flash Mp3 Player. What should I upload to my server?

If you want to deploy the files to your server, you need to upload the content INSIDE the deploy folder. The other folder is the source folder, and that contains all the files used to create the product.

2. Where can I find some sample code for embedding the swf file?

Please open the index.html file, and select view > page source from the browser menu OR open the index.html file with a text editor.

3. Is the MP3 file externally loaded?

Yes, the mp3 file is passed in the FlashVars.

4. I want to modify the player. Are you available for custom work?

5. Can I use different fonts for the player?

Yes, the steps for changing the fonts are: - edit the FLA file - embed the fonts - change them in the textfield you need new fonts - export the swf file

6. When I open the file it says font missing. What should I do?

Before opening the Flash file you need to install the fonts that came with the download. After that you can make the changes you need in the FLA, and the fonts won't be missing.

7. What is the shadow layer for?

The shadow layer is used for display purposes only. You can easily remove it, and align the mcPlayer to the 0x0 coordinates. Make sure you change the stage size back to 281x78 before you publish the swf file, if you want to remove the shadow layer. This way, the swf size have the same dimensions as the Simple Flash Mp3 Player.
