Photography Portfolio Template

This template is perfect for showcasing your portfolio with style. It has a minimalist design with powerful features, such as the integration with SWFAddress, useful for activating the browser's back button.

You can define as many galleries as fit the menu, and each gallery can have an unlimited number of images.

On the homepage you can link some of the galleries directly to that section. We use 6 only, for people with resolution smaller than 1024x768. You can use even less thumbs than galleries, but link only some of them which you like more.

If you click on the photographer name or tag line, it takes you directly to the Contact page. Both are customizable from XML, as well as the content on the Contact page.

The images scroll left and right, making sure the border is where the first or the last image centers the screen. You can add any size for the image as long as these fit the height of 420px. (optimized for 1024 x 768). They automatically position based on the width.

You can also define the stroke value in the XML file, and for each image in the large view, you can define the background color (as it is defined for example in the Brands gallery).

You can set the default section that will be used for when the website opens, or with the help of the swfAddress you can share a direct link to any of the sections.

We fixed this bug. Do you have this issue in the preview or on your files?

If in your files, it means you don't have the latest version, so please download the update.

Please clear your cache, as the preview doesn't have this problem from the last update. Simply download the file again, it should have the latest update in.

Hi Andrei,
can I ask you the last question?
I made 3 gallery of videos.... My videos have 2 resolution 480x360 (4:3) and 480 x 270 ( 16:9 ). If i watch the video with the first one ( resolution), then the second one is bad played. If i watch the second one, then the first one is bad played.
However also the 480x360 ( like your example ) doesn't fit in his window player...

Maybe have I to change movinggallery.as ?

( private var videoWidth : Number = 520;
private var videoHeight : Number = 390; )

I hope you understand my problem....

...but is it possible to reset the player settings every time I watch a video? For example I watch a video in 4:3 480x360... I think after this, there isn't a reset and the player mantein the 4:3 aspect.... I think is a difficult problem to explain.....

I used this account (krilleman) and I bought the template at the 6th of June. If I go in to my account the (paid for) Template is under my downloads. And Paypal confirms that a confirmation email has been sent to [email protected]..

The validation link was sent to the payer email address (the PayPal email you used to pay with). So if you paid with [email protected], that's where the activation email was sent.

Please add [email protected] to your address book, and click on resend activation email button from your Flabell/ThemesBell account.

Also, please make sure you check the spam / junk folders too.

If that does not work, I can email the activation link directly to the email address which you used to pay with.

Ok, the file has been updated. Please check the home.xml file, where I added and commented a sample thumbnail, which now can have an external link.

You can define the link as well as the target in the XML. You can also set any title you want for that thumb.

Hi! If i'll purchase this template, is only .swf file would be included, and no .fla? The template is very cute, but it's quite dissapointment, that included fonts is for western symbols only.

hi! i purchased this template and i wanted to do something but i don't know how to use Flash AS3. i only used AS2. There's 6 thumbnails in the frontpage and i wanted to resize them. What the best way to redesign the front page?

Hi,
To edit the size of a frontpage thumbnail you will need to open the file source/com/vuzum/Home.as. There, on line 56 and 57 you have the width and height parameters of a thumbnail. Change those values to resize the frontpage images.
Note that the main.jpg file needs to be resized also.

hi! another thing i want to ask is when i click a thumbnail and i'm in the full screen view of a photo, the thumbnails is still scrolling. so example i click the first thumbnail and i'm on full screen, when i place my mouse on the right it will still scroll and when i return to the thumbnails, i'm at the end, can you look at it and stop the scrolling while i'm in full screen?

1. How to make the stroke around the homepage images thinner?

You need to adjust this number in Home.as, and then compile the swf file again:

private var imageStroke : Number = 10;

There are no video tutorials for this flash component yet.

Update 28 March 2011
- added the possibility to add an Youtube video as a section to the template. In the main.xml file you'll need to add a "swf" type section that has an unique swfAddressValue and menuName. At the xmlPath attribute you'll need to enter the URL of the Youtube video. You can copy the Youtube video URL from your browser address bar or go to the video page and press the Share button.
- fixed some issues regarding the menu.

- a video player was added as an option to display videos as well as images.

- we added the ability to add an external link on the homepage, by clicking on a thumbnail which has a link set in home.xml

Update 05 - 24 November 2010
- we updated the SWFAddress, which fixes the browser back and next buttons on IE8

There is currently no additional help provided for this flash component.
