Horizontal Scroller Slideshow

This is a horizontal controller for displaying multiple images with ease. The scroll bar adjusts it's size based on the number of images.

You can set the color of the scroll bar, and the bar under the scroll takes the same color, at 5% transparency.

Both the arrows and the background color take the color you set in the XML for them.

The images can be of any size, we recommend keeping them smaller than the height you set for the component. All of them are positioned at the bottom of the component. This can easily be changed in the code, as well as the position of the loader and the scroll bar.

You can set the scroll bar width and height in the XML, as well as the distance between the items. (this is added in front and at the end of the images as well, but it can also easily be removed if needed)

We added a line in the code where the images are centered, but we commented it because we like it better like this. If you want that feature, let us know and we'll post the code in the comments page.

Hello I bought this Horizontal Scroller Slideshow. I would like, if you can, to have the scroll bar repositioned in the bottom part of the pictures. I would also like to have the shadow and mouse-over effect (activ link) removed from the pictures. Thank you!

george, we'll update the file so that you can remove the rollOver from the XML. Basically if there won't be a link to the images, there won't be any rollOver.

To remove the shadow, you need to do the following changes in Flash:

1. Unlock the first layer.
2. Select the only movieclip on the stage: mcScrollerSlideshow.
3. Double click on it and then unlock the layer mcAllItems and select the mcAllItems movieclip.
4. In the Filters panel, remove the GLOW effect. (or change it's color if you want to)

That's it. Compile the swf file and there won't be a glow applied.

We will add a variable in the XML where you'll be able to reposition the scroll bar as well as the images. Now the images are positioned at the bottom, I will add center and top. ;)

george, we're also adding the glow color to the XML, so you can wait for the update instead of removing it yourself. If no color will be set, there won't be any glows.

Is it possible / easy to use movie clips instead of images. I basically want to have the green screened models as moving video clips?

You meant swf files? Yes you can load jpg, png, gif or swf files.

I think that this is a good idea, but maybe it could be better if it could rotate automatically and if it rotate when you put the cursor in the left side or right side like a carousel, if you implement it, i will buy it :)

Update 20 May 2010

- we updated the file to the new stucture of files (Sample.as instead of Main.as)
- we added title support for the images - stays on top of each image, centered on the width

There is currently no additional help provided for this flash component.
