I like it. very simple. Can you resize the two huge arrows?

Sure, the arrows can be resized, or hidden. We wanted to add the features that were missing to the simple fade in/fade out slideshow. These can also be hidden in the XML. You can download the preview for free, and check out the structure of the file if you want to see how customizable it is. :)

Note the entire swf is resizable, so if the size of the banner is larger, the buttons look OK. Will change them so one can resize these too, not just change colors.

I purchased this one in hopes to be able to reposition both the next/previous buttons and the text in the XML file. Can you add these two options to the file? This would really improve the functionality of the slide show. Thanks

File Update:[update 01]

We added additional settings in the XML file. You can now control the position of everything, as well as the size, transparency and colors.

Please download the updated files from your Flabell account.

Great slideshow =) Noticed that there's a hand-cursor when you mouseover even though there's no link defined for the current picture. Could you change this so there's only the default arrow-cursor and then that it changes to hand-cursor whenever you move over the buttons? Also, is it possible to replace the buttons with custom images? Or at least is it possible to easily do this within the original fla file (if it's included upon download)? Just want to make sure in case I decide to buy this ;) Keep up the good work!

Yep. If you decide to purchase, we'll adjust that for your file. Actually it's pretty easy to change the buttons in the FLA. ;)

I purchased this component but find that it takes a significant amount of time to load the image sequence. I tried setting an image= param to load a static background while the sequence loads, but it won't display. How can I get this to work? When I try and mount an image in HTML either it or the stage is always on top. How can I set a static background to load first in this component?

Also, it seems that I can't display animated gif files in the sequence? How come?

Thanks for your rely!

Hi. Flash should be able to load gif files, not sure if these are animated in Flash, but I know the gif and png formats also work.

In order to set a background to the component, you could load it directly in the Flash file, if you own Flash. Otherwise, some code changes are necessary. Let me know.

I have cs3. instructions or new code. Either one'll do as long as instructions take me no more than an hour... ;-)

Ok. The easiest way is to create a new layer under the component, and import the image into flash directly, setting it at the 0x0 coordinates.

Then, from XML, set the background color to 0 transparency. If you set the image at the right size, it will look good in html.

Then recompile the file and you're good to go. ;)

Hi Bob. Did it and it works, but... Unfortunately during each transition, the background image is visible. Is there a way to keep the background opaque after the image sequence is loaded?

Yes, you could hide it in code. If you have a bit of Flash experience, I can explain how. Otherwise please email us the files and we'll do it for you.

Could you explain it please?

Basically, what you need to do is hide the image when the slideshow starts, so you need to make it a MovieClip, and declare it in the class.

If you don't know Flash, we better do it, so please email us the source files. ;)

Hi,

I have downloaded the test component and am running it from my pc. The links are not working for me though, even the link to flabell on the first image. Are links disabled in the test version?

Thanks.
