Excellent and yet very light flash component, you guys really did a great job. I just need to point out 1 small possible update. Everyone should have seen 3 dots appearing just before the actual image gallery starts to fade in / out. These dots are animated but can we have some better custom animation for showing a "Loading..." animation effect?

I don't know how will you provide that option but 1 way can be by specifying some custom animation GIF file like flashvars.startAnimation = 'loading.gif'

Although it's a very small update but never the less it will definitely give a bit more control to developers using this component.

khurram, that's our custom loading animation. We don't want to spend time on doing a different loading animation for each component, because we can spend that time in actually bringing new features to each component. :-)

Nevertheless, there is an easy way to replace it, as we wanted to provide this option to our customers. Simply search in the library for the movieclip named mcLoader. Inside of it, use whatever animation you like. Note this is centered in the middle of the component through code, so you should position your animation at the 0,0 coordinates in the mcLoader MovieClip.

That's it. Publish the swf file and you should have a new loading animation.

bobocel, I think you didn't understand my question / suggestion properly. I didn't ask you to spend time on doing a different loading animation for each component, I rather asked if it is possible for you to modify this component (and may be others too) to give the control to developers so that they can specify something like

flashvars.startAnimation = "loading.gif"

in the same way as you let developers specify

flashvars.componentWidth
flashvars.componentHeight
flashvars.pathToFiles
flashvars.xmlPath

in JavaScript embedded inside the HTML page.

I am not familiar with working on Flash / SWF files (and so may be many other developers) so the method of modifying and republishing library files is a new learning curve for me so that's why I asked if you can modify this component just slightly. Never mind if this update is too big for the component developers community as in that case I will have to stick with the default loading animation of 3 small dots. Thanks for your help

khurram, I did understand the question and that was my reply. If you need to change a loading animation, you can do so in the FLA directly. There's no other way, nor will we provide a different option.

The main reason is that the loader itself will need to load before we can center it and display it. :-)

bobocel,
Can I have more than one on a single page? How can I do this without overwriting files.
Thank you very much I love the product.

SGAShepp, sure. The only thing you need to do is to use a different ID for each instance of the swf file. Check this example for one of our other files: http://www.flabell.com/flash/Horizonta... (bottom right links)

seson, how do you try to resize the images? Where are you using this component (inside a Flash project or inside an html website)?
