You can use this countdown timer to show the time left until an event happens. This timer has an XML file where you can control the colors. A sound starts playing when the time is almost finished, and the colors change.
Note the time is passed in milliseconds in the flashvars, and uses that to calculate the correct time left, based on the server time, not the user's location.

Sure. Please read the FAQ section above. You'll need to run the file on a PHP enabled server.

I love the product and use in already at another site (www.ridetight.com).
Would you mind letting me know if this can be modified to count UP instead of down? I don't use flash, so if there is a cost for you to tweak this, let me know.
Thanks!

The counting up functionality has not been implemented for this component.
If you're interested in us doing some custom work to implement it, please send our team an email at [email protected]

I just tested the settings.xml file and it worked. Just make the changes in these tags:
<day single="day" multiple="days" /> <hour single="hour" multiple="hours" /> <minute single="minute" multiple="minutes" /> <second single="second" multiple="seconds" />If you can't get it to work, please buy a support ticket, share a link to your webpage and we'll find a solution for you.

I'm trying your countdown timer, beautiful!, I just have one issue while compiling it (CS3) from project/source dir, already tried some solutions but the error remains, it is:
1120: Access of undefined property parseSettingsXML.
xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, parseSettingsXML);
I guess the project should compile without errors, so before to try any modification I just publish (File / Publish menu) the movie, but the error shows up.
Best regards and thank you all for this practical countdown.

Sorry, we had a problem with the CS3 version we published. Please download the component one more time and use it new files. Thank you!

Please read the FAQ section of this page. You'll need to make those changes in the code and use the files on a PHP server. Enjoy the component!
