This is a highly customizable thumbnail gallery, with a minimalist UI, useful for displaying many images of different sizes in a fresh way.

The attention to details is visible all over the place. You can use the same navigation for both types of gallery.

Make sure you take a look at the XML, to see how much control you have over the gallery's appearance.

Can you tell me if there is a setting for top and bottom padding/margin on this slideshow, or is that part of the swf file?

There are settings that will allow you to set the margins for the images and the navigation buttons:

                
offsetImages = "37"
offsetNavigation = "10"

Note that if you change these values, you might need to update the distanceBetweenThumbsX property to some other value. You might also update the thumbsWidth property. We recommend to make a backup version of the XML file, before you make these changes.

When I test the slideshow, it appears differently in firefox and safari on the mac. In firefox, it loads very slow and has a dark grey box in the background. I have a couple of screenshots I can send.

Do you get the same "effect" when you look at the component above? or at this preview:

I found the problem. There is a background color in the script that Firefox was reading and Safari wasn't. I think it was slow in firefox because of another script. Thank you so much for getting back to me.

This looks like it fits my needs but I have 1 question. In your sample the flash imports a static xml file. Can I point the flash at a dynamic page that queries a db and builds the xml on the fly?

Sure, you can do that. You'll just need to build the XML file with the same structure, tags and attributes.

For the component to do this automatically, it will need some changes in the ActionScript code. You can also rearrange the "item" tags in the XML file, the way you need them to appear.

I just bought the file few days ago and uploaded it to the server, but the slide show doesn't show up. It works locally but not on the server.. I see the loading but images don't appear so is it path problem? I would appreciate it if you could give me some possible solutions for that.

Hello,

You probably used the old SWF file that you downloaded with the free preview. The free preview SWF file will only work on your local machine.

Please download the full component's package (not the free preview) and replace the old preview.swf file with the new downloaded file. It should work afterwards, if everything is OK with the paths you specified. If it gives you any trouble, please share a link to your webpage. We'll figure out what's the problem and give you a solution.
