Display your images in a gorgeous and simple XML Banner Rotator, with a minimalist design and a simple slide effect between images.
In the XML you can enable or disable features such as the toggle button (which stops and plays a slideshow), the navigation buttons as well as the pagination. Using any of these elements you can allow the user for as much control as you like (or as your design needs to look like).

I can't seem to get the banner rotator to loop. I tried the demo and when I reach the last image the right arrow button is disabled.
If loop is set to "true" shouldn't the right arrow button make i go from the last image to the first image?
Or does the loop-attribute cover a different function?
Thanks for any replies!

The loop functionality will be enabled if the slideshow is activated. If you set the:
slideshowTime = "0"
to a value greater than 0 in the banner.xml file, the slideshow will be activated and the images will loop. We just assumed that nobody needs to loop when he/she chose the option to click on the image number to go see another image. There's nothing to loop, actually :).
Thanks for downloading our banner rotator and I hope you enjoy it.

I've tried setting the slideshowTime = "30". That makes the images loop automatically alright, but it still doesn't make the arrow buttons work on the first and last image (left/right button respectively).
On most other slideshow components I've seen, the navigation buttons have the ability to "turn over the stack of images" at the last image by clicking the next image.
I've had to disable the pagination by setting it to false.
There are too many images in my gallery and thus the pagination numbers could not display. The stage width is not wide enough for all the numbers to display correctly. They display in a single line. Is there an option for the pagination numbers to be displayed on more than one line?
As of now the only way to see the first image again (when at the last image of the slideshow) is to either wait for the slideshow timeout to go into effect or click the backbutton through all the other images...
Would be nice if you could add the loop functionality to the arrow buttons as well.
Thanks!

We made an update to the component and it gives an option to disable/enable the previous and next buttons when limits are reached. This is the property you'll find in the new banner.xml file:
disableNavigationAtLimit = "true"Just change it to false and you'll be able to go to the first image when you're watching the last image and go to the last image when you're watching the first image. That's if you disabled the pagination and you want to use the just the navigation buttons, like you do.
I'm sorry you had to disable it, but we could help you with this and do something customized for you. Just send us an email at office[email protected] and we'll make the pagination fit under the component dimensions.

We also made the promised loading option update. You can choose now to load the images on click or to load all the images at the beginning.
In the XML file, you'll find this property:
loadImagesOnClick = "false"which you can set to "true" and the images will load on click.
Please download the files again if you want this for your banner rotator.

Thank you very much for a very prompt response to issues and wishes about the banner component.
Very professional customer support, I must say!
I'll get right on to downloading the revised component...
Kind regards,

Yes, it was built to work just on your local machine, but not when uploaded to a server.

I see that you actually used another component, not the component displayed above.
Because the images are loaded one by one, the component is blank until the next image is loaded. This could be solved, if all the images would be loaded from the start. We could help you with this, if you're interested in custom work. Just send an email with some details at [email protected]
