This is a minimalist and easy to use guest book. It works through XML, which is filled with the information posted by the user, if valid, with the help of a PHP file.
The validation is done based on the type of content the user has to add, such as a name or an email address. The user is requested to fill all fields, and if he tries to submit incomplete information, the strokes color changes based on the value you send in the XML.
The date and time is also filled in the XML, but it's displayed when the user returns to the website, so that there's no need to reload the XML file for every comment submitted, thus saving bandwidth.

Yes, you had to open the FLA file and remove the gradient background. We put it there just for presentation purposes. We made an update now and solve this problem that, probably, gave headaches to some users.
Just download the new files, open the guestbook.xml file and set the backgroundColor to the color you want. The default value is -1 and this means that no color will be set and the gradient background will remain as it is. If you set some other color using hexadecimal values, it will take that color.
Thank you for your comment.

We completed a small update for the component. We implemented a cache buster for the comments XML file. Now you'll be able to see the comments your users post immediately.
