We want to provide the best customer support here at Flabell, so in order to do that we must dedicate a lot of our time to each user. We decided it’s time to prioritize support, so we can serve our best users, better. The idea is this: one user that makes a purchase is a user that should get support before another user that downloaded a free Flash Component from Flabell.

Due to the increasing amount of new users (we’re close to 30.000 users in less than 9 months) we decided it’s time to implement a simple solution that will allow us to be more productive, and use our time better. Today we’re announcing the new system we are releasing: Support Tickets.

We just released an important update to our Simple Flash Mp3 Player.

The following issues have been addressed:

1. The FLA and AS3 code were rebuilt following the new Flabell standards.
2. init function was added, and now the file works as described in our video tutorial.
3. loadNewSound function was added, which can be called anytime. Let’s say the player is used inside a flash gallery and needs to load a new sound on clicking a thumb.
4. You can now customize every color inside settings.xml
5. Totally resizeable, by editing it’s size in XML if you use the component in your Flash project, or editing it’s size in HTML if you use it inside an HTML website.

If you ever tried to apply 9-slice scaling to a mask, you probably noticed it doesn’t work.

The solution is this:
1. Use a movieclip and apply 9-slice scaling to it. (let’s say mcShape)
2. Add this movieclip into the mask. (so you would have mcMask.mcShape)
3. Apply cacheAsBitmap to mcMask and mcObject, where mcObject is the object you want to mask.
4. Apply the mask with ActionScript: mcObject.mask = mcMask; (do not apply 9-slice scaling to mcMask)
