New flash component: Newsletter Signup Form

Are you on a tight deadline? Do you need a small, fast and reliable Flash Component to quickly solve the newsletter part of your project? Hurry no more, this week’s product is a slick Newsletter Signup Component, which you can easily use in your AS3 project.

The emails are validated in Flash, and if the email is correct it is sent to PHP. The PHP checks if the email has been saved in a TXT file previously, and if it hasn’t, it is saved. This way all emails will be unique.

The component is XML customizable, and you can edit.. well, just about anything! :)

hi, Do multiple submissions get added to a single file for importing in bulk to a mailing list manager or service like constant contact, mail chimp etc?

Hello Chris,

The component makes a request to a php file giving it the email address. You can do anything in that php file. We made an example for just storing the email address in a text file.

However, you can build an XML file using PHP or some other file type. I’m not really familiar with the file structure the mailing services or contact manager software are using. Once you know the structure you can built that file using PHP or another technology.
